Bulls in the City Art Trail

Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero
One of the most poignant moments this summer has been the city-wide tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away on 22 July 2025 at the age of 76. Born in Aston and forever known as the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy’s legacy is woven into Birmingham’s cultural DNA.
Following his death, thousands of fans lined the streets for his funeral procession, which passed through Broad Street and the iconic Black Sabbath Bridge. Floral tributes, handwritten notes, and memorabilia flooded the city’s landmarks, from The Crown pub to Villa Park, where Ozzy gave his final live performance just weeks before.
In response to this global outpouring of love, the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery has extended its exhibition Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero until January 2026.
