There’s nothing like having an internationally acclaimed art gallery on your doorstep. Artists from around the world exhibit here over two floors, across a variety of mixed media styles. It’s been going since 1964 and today it’s a calming and inspirational space to visit. And the best part – it’s free.
And should you visit on an empty stomach, we can highly recommend Yorks Café at Ikon. The menu spans breakfast, brunch, lunch and later and has oodles of character. It even offers its own roasted coffee which we can honestly say we’ve never missed if we’re in the area. Freshly baked stone pizzas welcome you at night too. Yum.
